Archetype Entertainment has recently showcased new concept illustrations along with a backstory for its anticipated space-themed action-adventure title, Exodus.

In a recent development bulletin released today (May 21), the team behind Exodus offered a captivating glimpse at the enigmatic extraterrestrial beings known as the Silicates through stunning concept illustrations. You're invited to explore these visuals below.

The existence of the Silicates is a complete unknown to the Celestials - the universe's most formidable adversaries - and they have the potential to establish a transformative symbiotic bond with humans.

Archetype describes the process whereby human contact with the Silicates metamorphoses the individual into potent Daemons, who stand as living armaments in the struggle against the Celestials.

Transformed into a Daemon, individuals experience aggressive and invasive thoughts, overshadowing the immense abilities at their disposal, rooted in the primal darkness found within every human.

"Will the benefits outweigh the risks for the Travelers [the player] as they continue their fight for existence against the Celestials? Only future events will reveal," teases the developer.

Additionally, Archetype has released an intriguing narrative about the Silicates, delving into the history of this alien species.

"The origins of the Silicates are shrouded in uncertainty," the narrative reveals. "To this day, the genesis of the Silicates is a riddle, leaving us pondering whether they were the creation of an ancient civilization long erased from memory, or genuine extraterrestrial entities that arose spontaneously in Centauri... or possibly elsewhere.

"Silicates serve as a strategic advantage for humanity. Daemons do not require conventional armaments - they become the weaponry... Owing to the unique affinity Silicates have with humans, some individuals perceive this bond through a spiritual lens, convinced that the human-silicate symbiosis was destined; a divine ordinance brought to life by a transcendent entity..."
