Ryan Reynolds’ Instagram Tease Sends Marvel Fans Spiraling with New Deadpool and Wolverine Theories

As Marvel fans eagerly anticipate the next Deadpool and Wolverine movie, Ryan Reynolds has added fuel to the fire with a cryptic post on Instagram that has everyone buzzing. The post, shared to his Instagram Story, features a Sling Ring that’s seemingly encrusted with two Infinity Stones. These gems appear to be green and red, matching the Time Stone and the Reality Stone.

Fans have swiftly speculated, suspecting that Cassandra Nova—Professor X's sister and the antagonist of the film—may be the one in possession of this formidable artifact. This theory gains traction from the movie trailers, which depict Deadpool and Wolverine traversing through portals.

Some fans have elaborated on this theory, suggesting that Cassandra Nova might have acquired the Sling Ring from the Sorcerer Supreme of her universe. They propose that this could be from a timeline where Malekith was thwarted by the sorcerers of London, resulting in the Sorcerer Supreme possessing these two Infinity Stones.

Adding to the conjecture, another fan pointed out a moment in the trailer where Deadpool and Wolverine leap through a portal with Cassandra Nova standing behind them, implying she possibly opened the portal to aid their escape. This potential ability to manipulate time and reality would certainly make her a significant threat.

There is, however, a less exciting possibility: the Sling Ring could simply be adorned with fancy jewelry that only looks like Infinity Stones. Still, most fans doubt that Marvel would go for such a mundane explanation.

The excitement will soon reach a fever pitch as Deadpool and Wolverine is set to hit theaters on July 26 in the US and July 25 in the UK. Meanwhile, fans can immerse themselves in other Marvel content by checking out upcoming Marvel movies and shows and learning how to watch all the Marvel movies in the correct order.
