WWE 2K22 Will End Online Services in January
2K Games appears to be strongly encouraging players to transition away from WWE 2K22 and to start playing WWE 2K23 instead. The company recently announced via a post on platform X that it would be discontinuing the servers and online content for WWE 2K22, a title that only launched in 2022.
The official statement from the company reads, "Attention WWE 2K community: WWE 2K22 servers will be discontinued as of January 3rd, 2024. All online modes & functions, including online matches & community creations, will no longer be available."
Following this announcement, 2K Games encourages its player base to purchase WWE 2K23, expressing that "Now is the perfect time to upgrade to #WWE2K23".
Considering this development, it would mean that WWE 2K22 only received 22 months of online support, which, surprisingly, falls below the typical lifespan of 2K's WWE titles.
